What is InLink Rank and how's it updated?
What is InLink Rank?
InLink Rank is a score that estimates the popularity and importance of a domain (or a specific page). It is determined by the quantity and quality of incoming links to the page (both external and internal). To calculate the metric our crawler is surfing the web incessantly to analyze the authority of each page based on the inbound links and the authority of the pages the links come from, and so on.
This score has been introduced as a substitution for Google PageRank, the factor that once was used by Google to rank web-pages but no longer available to the public. InLink Rank uses the same algorithm as the original Google PageRank: and on a logarithmic scale, it makes a score from 0 to 100, which means it is easier to grow one's InLink Rank score from 20 to 30 than it is from 80 to 90.
In SEO PowerSuite, Domain InLink Rank can be found in all tools under Domain Strength.
InLink Rank and Domain InLink Rank can also be checked for pages in WebSite Auditor, for backlinks and linking domains in SEO SpyGlass and for prospects and backlinks in LinkAssistant.
What metrics use InLink Rank?
InLink Rank is used to calculate complex metrics like:
- Domain Strength
- Keyword Difficulty
- Link Value
- Penalty Risk
So, whenever Domain InLink Rank is re-calculated, this affects all the metrics it is involved in, in all SEO PowerSuite tools.
