How to customize & brand your SEO reports?
All SEO PowerSuite apps let you create custom SEO reports (branded and fully white-label in the Enterprise version).
You can modify report templates in accordance with your/client's needs: add, remove and re-arrange the widgets, customize widgets to include new columns or change the sorting order, change color schemes and do plenty of other things to make your reports look professional and unique.
Manage report templates
You can manage the templates in the Reports module. For starters, you'll have a list of default templates each of which can be edited, renamed, cloned, or removed (on-hover).
You can also create new templates (blank or based on the default ones), and brand the reports with your company info.
Edit report templates
On hover, you can Edit any template. In the template editor, you'll see:
- all the widgets currently added to the template on the right (remove or re-arrange any)
- all the available widgets on the left (hover over any and click + to add it to the template)
Customize widgets
Each widget in the template can be customized: you can change the sorting order of the records, add or remove some columns, include or exclude competitors from the section, adjust the visualized periods for the graphs, and many more. To customize a widget, click the Edit button that appears on hover.
Tip: you can add the same widget twice if needed, and adjust its settings differently in each instance.
Once the template looks the way you need, make sure to click Save to apply the changes you’ve made.
Create a template from scratch
Apart from customizing the default templates, you can create a brand new report template from scratch. Click the + button, choose the Blank template option, give it a name, and start adding widgets.
Customize the widgets the same way as in the default templates.
Brand your reports
You can brand your reports with your company/agency details in the Header and Footer widgets.
The Footer will mention SEO PowerSuite until you fill out your company details. To fill them out, go to Preferences > Company Profile and add your company name, email, website (will work as a hyperlink from the report) and, optionally, upload your logo:
Then, in any report template, edit the Header and Footer widgets to feature your company logo, and add any variables like company name, website, report date, and others.
Global template settings
The Global report template settings allow you to choose the color scheme or create a custom one, adjust localization and formatting settings and set up a template to only include the records with certain tags.
Don’t forget to Save your customized report templates as you apply any changes.
Share/transfer your custom report templates
There's a workaround for sharing your custom report templates or transferring them to a new PC where you install the apps.
The templates are being stored in the apps' .properties files that contain all Global Preferences - the files can be copied to the other PC so that the customized report templates would be moved along.
